The Astros Archaeological Museum is located in the center of the city. A building created in 1985 with significant historical importance, hosts exquisite exhibits. At this building was held the Second National Assembly of Astros in 1823, while later on the Karytsiotis School was located on the premises. In 2008 the Museum closed due to damages caused by an earthquake in Leonidio. Nevertheless, visitors can see some findings in the courtyard, where the National Assembly was held.

Agios Andreas is part of the municipality of North Kynouria, built on the outskirts of a hill near the sea, next to a plain full of olive trees.
